Smartbleach Laser Teeth Whitening

Laser teeth whitening is a technology that brightens teeth quickly by the dentist. Smartbleach is a laser tooth whitening treatment performed by the dentist that promises you whiter teeth almost immediately. Smartbleach is carried out with the use of a laser light and peroxide gel.

The step by step application process sounds similar to a number of other products in use and are as follows:

  • The teeth and gums are cleaned and dried by the dentist before a protective layer is placed on the gums.
  • The special Smartbleach red gel is applied to the teeth.
  • Each tooth is then exposed to the laser light for around 30 seconds. According to the advertising the patient should either feel a slight tingling sensation or nothing at all.
  • The gel is then removed and the mouth is rinsed out.
  • This process is repeated for three applications with the entire treatment taking from 1 to 1-1/4 hours.
  • Finally the teeth are given a fluoride treatment activated by the Smartbleach laser to protect them and build up resistance against decay.

Although it sounds similar, the technology behind the Smartbleach laser teeth whitening process is subtly different. The Smartbleach laser produces a light from the green color spectrum which is then applied to a red gel. The gel is a non-acidic preparation of hydrogen peroxide. The idea is that the complementary colors of the laser and the gel interact to reach large, light absorbing molecules in the teeth which are changed into smaller molecules. A photo–chemical reaction takes place. The laser and gel penetrate through the outer enamel and into the dentin layer. The smaller molecules give more light reflective surface to the teeth. The result is whiter teeth.

The Archery Arrow and its Effect on Your Compound Bow’s Power

When compound bow manufacturers advertise their latest bow, it’s all about the power and speed with which it will fire an arrow. What they fail to mention is that the kind of arrow you use will have a huge say in how fast it will be fired. Not only that, the type of arrow you use will have an effect on the accuracy with which it shoots.

The heavier the arrow, the more force is going to be required to shoot it and the more flaws in the arrow construction the less accurately it will fly. That being said, different arrows are made for different circumstances and you will have a need for each different type at some point or another.

The key to successful archery shooting isn’t so much in the quality of the compound bow you use because they are all fitted with similar features. After all, they’re precision instruments. Where you will really find your edge is in carefully choosing your arrows, both in the materials they are made from and the quality of the manufacture. Make sure the arrows you buy are straight, that they suit the bow you use and the type of shooting you will be doing. Factors such as the length of the arrow you need are governed by your draw length.

Arrows are mainly available made from 4 materials: wood, fiberglass, aluminum and an aluminum-carbon mix. They each have positives and negatives depending on what kind of archery you plan on doing. Essentially, the carbon arrows are the lightest and most expensive with strength and durability thrown in. This makes them a popular choice for many archers but may not necessarily be the arrow that suits you.

It’s true, buying an appropriate compound bow is a critical step when taking up the sport of archery, but just as important are the arrows you use. You may think that you are saving money by skimping on the cost of your arrows, but you may actually be degrading the worth of your bow.

The Compound Archery Store has a range of major archery brands to choose from specialising in compound bows as well as all sorts of accessories including a full range of wooden, aluminum, fiberglass and carbon arrows. Visit the compound archery store to get your archery equipment.
